Inserts for heavy wetter/overnight?

Ok, so with DD we only ever used microfiber inserts in our pockets and never had trouble. With DS I have been trying hemp and MF for nighttime and having leaks. I have tried switching around which is on top and still leaks. Went back to just MF and no leaks. Isn't hemp supposed to be more absorbant?

I love hemp. I tend to have stink issues with them but as far as leaking I've not had a problem. I use fitteds so I only use them at night if I use pocket fitteds, also microterry has worked really well for Marina

It helps to put the MF on top of the hemp since MF absorbs faster. I'm not sure what kind of hemp you are using, but if it has a lot of layers, sometimes it needs lots of dryer time to really get dry, maybe could it be a little damp still? If it was new hemp, it needs to be washed and dried on SUPER hot at least 5 times (alone, not with other items/inserts/etc.) to wash out the oils and get to its max absorbancy...HTH

Thanks I was using Pocket Change hemp that's a pre-fold shape. I thought maybe it wasn't getting dry on the line, but the dryer didn't make any difference. I was also putting the MF next to DS with hemp below. Didn't matter. And I boiled like 5-6 times and they've now been washed a bunch too. Also have snap-EZ and they aren't working any better for us.
