To answer your original question, I have no idea, there ain't much to them. For your second, I don't know. We haven't had to venture there yet but I look forward to the replies.

I thought sanp-ez were $17, but I could be wrong. $27 sounds outrageous.

We ordered ours from Little Rain Dancers and they were $13 each. Some are PUL outer, some have a thin pul hidden inside with cotton or flannel outer.

Re: Umm...why are trainers SO EXPENSIVE?

DD is DOing GREAT and doesnt have but maybe 1 pee accident during the day and thats usually my fault for forgetting to prompt her to the potty...but she hasnt pooed in the potty and yet and Im completely fine with that, but the gerber training pants we are using are MESSY to take off when she has pooped in them. and with a PUL outer it would be a PIMA to have to see if shes wet not to mention she doesnt realize that she needs to pee if its got the PUL outer b/c her clothes dont get wet...

SOOO someone please help me find a pull on, snap off or even TT off* would prefer it to be back wrapping TT all cloth trainer with NO waterproof outer... I can sew, but It just seems like a PIMA to do it and then have to send them off to have snaps put on...not to mention after buying the pattern and material and paying for snaps it wouldnt be any cheaper

I was really tempted to try the blueberry trainers too...but we are still a good 6-8 months from PLing so I decided to wait...They look nice though.

We carry the Happy Heiny trainers, Pull on/Snap Off, they look nice as well, but havnen't actually used them myself.

I couldn't stand the price of them either. I didn't get it, so I ended up making them myself. Early on in the process, I liked the pull-up-snap-off feature, now I like them to be more like underwear.

The snap-ez AIO trainers are super pricey, the pocket trainers are less, but can be around $27 if their super expense inserts are included.

I'd be interested in finding out who makes a good/absorbant fitted pull-up as well.

Re: Umm...why are trainers SO EXPENSIVE?

We bought 4 Imse Vimse trainers (which I love and DS likes them, too ) which I ran me around $50 shipped. I am also in the middle of sewing 6 Spiderman trainers myself. I am using PUL but lining with flannel and a light absorbency soaker. DS clothes definatley get wet if he pees a lot in either one. We are using the pull up kind because I am trying very hard to reinforce these are BIG BOY pants, not diapers. Good luck finding what works for you. I bought the darling trainer pattern and it is easy peasy if you are inclined to sew some yourself.

My DD is in IV trainers and we love them! I've heard they have an inner layer of PUL, but I'm not certain. They occasionally get wet all the way through. At home she runs around naked so it's not a big deal. When we go out she uses a pull up.
