Sizing ? about pouch slings

I have been eying the pouch slings on FSOT, but the sizing is a bit confusing to me with top rail, bottom rail, etc. (I've only used an Ergo, but want to try a pouch with the babe on the way).

I know my measurement from shoulder to hip--does this correspond to the bottom rail or top rail? THANKS!

Re: Sizing ? about pouch slings

Generally your shoulder to hip measurement will correspond to the top rail measurement. The bottom rail is usually about 3" bigger. However, this is only accurate for non-stretch or 1-way stretch cottons -- fleece slings or any other 2-way stretch fabric (for example, mesh fabric for water slings) will be sized smaller due to the extra stretchiness of the fabric.

HTH!

Yep, post your measurement and a link to the pouch or the pouch measurements and we can tell you if we think it will work.

OK, thanks, you two. I don't haven't been eying one or two in particular yet, but when I do, I'll definitely bump this up with links for help. Esepcially if knowing the fabric fits the general rule or not. Thanks!!
