Re: The Membrane Scrape

I went 8 days past my due date. When dd was finally ready to come join us she came in a hurry. By the time we got to the hospital I was dialated to 7. 2 hours and 3 pushes later she was out.

With that said, the later the baby, the easier the labor...Hang in there!

Come on Sammy!!

So.. now I have a new feeling going on... maybe you mamas can help. when I try to sit up in bed or even if I'm lying down and try to lift my legs (basic ab movement) my lower pelvis (like.. any area that would traditionally be covered in pubic hair.. sorry TMi! That's the best way I can describe where the hurt is) hurts... it hurts almost like a sore muscle.

Anyone? Anyone??
It's his head putting pressure there. It means he's moving down! That's good! I know this because my sons huge mellon gave me the same pain! Not that you want to walk around like this (it might look a little silly) but counterpressure helps a little! Good luck! Just relax your body as much as possible so he can move down more!

Re: The Membrane Scrape

Hey....i'm new here but thought i would throw in my 2 cents!

That deep pressure in your pelvic area is that kiddo dropping down and engaging. I've had awful soreness and pains in my pelvis/hips lately from mine dropping down into place. Stretching somewhat helps. To me at times it feels like her head is hanging out! That is like the only way i can explain it.

Good Luck...it sounds like you're almost there! Just try to relax as much as possible b/c stress can def prolong things.
