How many pairs of longies do you *really need* for the fall/winter?

Not how many would you like to have, but how many can you get away with? I'm trying to buy yarn and don't want to break the bank, but don't want to not get enough either.

I already have two pairs for Maggie, but they are kind of boyish because I want to be able to pass them down. I've also got some wool jersey that I'm going to use to make a couple more pairs.

For Bodie, I only have one pair that I crocheted up, then I thought of also making him two pairs out of the jersey.

So I was thinking of getting on really girly colorway for Maggie, and then get two for Bodie. Maybe two for Maggie, just because I think a girl deserves girly longies, ya know?

Oh, and I'm using the Dandelion Dreamers pattern, so here's another question - when we're finished with them, am I allowed to sell them for the cost of the yarn, or no?

I have 5. I think that is a good number, but more would be great, too.

I would say 4 full time. If you use pockets/aios too maybe 2 pairs.

7, enough to make it a full week and you can have 3 pairs for the days you are washing/drying the other 4

i bet you could get away with four. then you still have two to switch back and forth while the other two are washing/drying. i've never used longies full time though dd2 also wore some regular clothes.

Are you meaning to wear as diaper covers, or to wear solely for warmth like regular clothes?

I am hoping to end up with six or seven pairs. It just depends on how much you are wanting to wash/dry

It totally depends on your diapering system. If you are going to use them exclusively, no other pants/clothes, I'd say 7 pairs.

If you also use covers, AIOs, etc, then 2 will do
