Thrush & Washing bras

Okay, I am washing bras in hot water and put in some GSE... I was told vinegar, but we are currently out and I needed some clean bras so I figured this was better than nothing. Is that okay, will I need to do them again. If so how much vinegar do you use and when?? ALso, does putting them in the sun to dry help?? TIA, thrush is a PITA

Use a little bleach, seriously, we battled thrush for 3 1/2 months and the bleach helped a lot. Also go get genatin violet.

Oh about 1/4 a cup is enough to get stuff out but not ruin the integrity of the bras or color if they are colored, just have your water set on high, my front loader does all this automatically.

Sunshine is good as yeast like dark, moist environments, so linedry if you can. When I had thrush, I would stand by the kitchen window topless for about 5-10 minutes in the sunshine. Hopefully no one saw me. We battled it for over a month. I also used GSE for me and baby and occasionally in the laundry and took probiotics and made yogurt smoothies to get enough acidopholous. Good luck mama!

Re: Thrush & Washing bras

I just wanted to add that I needed an RX for diflucan to get rid of it after weeks of the cream didn't work. Just thought I'd mention that if nothing else works for you. GL.

Re: Thrush & Washing bras

Thanks, we are doing all the meds, GV, pescription, GSE, and probiotics. I was confused on what to do for my bras! Okay, we did vinegar, GSE, hot water, and line dried in the good ol' sunshine. Thanks very much!! It is getting better so far, yet not gone.
