Pre-made cocktails for picnic??
Any good recipes for cocktails to provide at an evening picnic/BBQ? Or any recipes for an alcholic drink (light drink) that can be pre mixed and kept in a pitcher? I'd like simple and easy to keep chilled!

Re: Pre-made cocktails for picnic??
Light rum and any soda or juice is easy to do. If you go to foodnetwork.com they usually have some good ideas for cocktails.

Re: Pre-made cocktails for picnic??
what about good old spiked lemonade? a regular picture of lemonade with a bit of flavored rum sounds delish (even at 8 a.m.!)

Re: Pre-made cocktails for picnic??
Hey this is right up my ally, im a bartender
![]() Hm....well lets see, you could do liked a spiked lemonade, but i would make it w/ vodka, not rum. There is a shot called a lemon drop, and you could just do that but add a lot more s&s and lemon. Ok so that would be like maybe like 9oz or so of vodka, a 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 a bottle of ready serve s&s and then like 1 litter of sprite, and then fresh lemons. There recipe for the shot is 1oz vodka, 3tbs sugar, splash of s&s and then lemon juice. I don;t know how strong you want them. You could make Mojitos, and then just bring the mint separately, we don't do "fancy" drinks like that at my bar, but i am sure that you could find a good recipe if you googled it. Hm.....are you wanting something strong or not? You could do like a little peach vodka, and then equal parts sprite (or just soda or tonic if you just want less sweet and still want the bubbles) and white grape juice, and then you could freeze some peaches and maybe some raspberries and use that along w/ ice to keep it cool........OK well give me a better idea of what you are wanting and i will try to help you out more.
