Hi, Have you thought of trying the One-Size Mommy's Touch pocket dipes? It sounds like your FB isn't fitting right over night (are you stuffing it more?) and that may be why it's leaking. I love that you noticed the insert is not fully wet... that's great troubleshooting. I've used tons of different types of dipes on my overnight heavy wetter... another good one is the Luke's Drawers Goodnight Kisses, I don't even have to add a doubler in that one for my son

(they actually include an extra doubler) He's such a heavy wetter, he often wets through disposies, imagine that! So, the Mommy's Touch or the Luke's Drawers work best for us.

A fanciful fanny prefitted with a birdseye flat (cheapo kind works fine) folded into the wetzone ... we put a night wool over it but wouldn't have to becuase in 12 hours the outside of the front of the diaper is damp but not soaked through.

Its the most economical solution we have found

I use a fitted (Under the Nile) or prefold, sometimes with a doubler, all under a wool cover- such as Lana or 7th Heaven. I've never had a leak.

you've gotten some good suggestions so far. I'd just add that you might want to try something WITHOUT a stay dry barier (microfleece, suedecloth) because if he is peeing really fast it might be blocking the pee from getting to the insert before it leaks, my dd does this occasionally. If you have something absorbant right next to his skin, you are a lot less likely to get a leak.

Hemp or Bamboo (lovely) fitted, front aplix, with side-snapping Very Baby (Olivebranchbaby) windpro cover. AWESOME. Little beetles are great, very baby simple nights, very baby basic nights, and there are probably a lot of other great hemp or bamboo fitteds. Love bamboo! Get one!!!!!! Aristocrats soakers are great too, but I'm not a huge fan of wool - a little bulkier than the windpro for little babies!

I can use others but a good pf under wool never fails for us.
