Re: Anyone make their baby's food?

We don't do baby food. dd1 never really ate until she was 14 months old by her own choice. I stressed and worried over it so much it was ridiculous. Now with dd2, I'm like, "Why bother". Seems like such a PITA and a $ waster if they don't need it.

Re: Anyone make their baby's food?

I've been making some of my own. Mainly just steamed, blended and then freeze fruits and veggies. Nothing really worthy of a recipe (though the girls both loved the apples with plums).

I'd love to have a recipe for teething biscuits.

I just steamed and pureed veggies and grains, then froze or refrigerated them in little containers.I would also just puree some of our food, too.

No recipes here, either. Just the basics. And she LOVES it.

Re: Anyone make their baby's food?

For her breakfast I rotate 3 things, rice cereal or oatmeal (ground to almost dust in our food processor) mixed with with blueberries, baked apples with cinnamon or peaches that I pureed and froze into cubes, she loves these, the third is an egg yolk mixed with cottage cheese.
For lunch I generally chop chicken or natural ham (from our factory) and a veg like carrot or baked sweet potato pieces and a fruit like banana or avacado or kiwi. Dinner I generally give her some of the dinners that I made and froze along with something that she can feed herself. Here are the recipes that I shared in the Kitchen Forum:
http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/...d.php?t=178056

I do use wholesome foods but found these on a different website and really liked them! Danni

Yup, us too! I sometimes would steam a bunch of veggies and freeze portions, but usually he just ate whatever we were eating, just mushed up.

Re: Anyone make their baby's food?

I used to make my second baby's food using the Super Baby Food book. I planned on doing the same with my third baby but he ended up not wanting solids until he was on table food so he just ate with the family. I'm also waiting with our fourth baby to be on table food since it's so much easier.
