potty accidents *UPDATE*

Not sure if this belongs here, but

I was so excited to come in and post saying that my DS has gone potty in his potty chairs twice this morning!! YAY!!

Then, as I was logging on to the site I notice a stinky smell. I looked around to see DS not on his potty chair, but standing directly behind me. He had pooped on the floor. On my carpet. On my off white carpet. And then walked over to his potty chair to pee again.

*SIGH*

---UPDATE---

He pooped IN the potty today

Re: potty accidents

Yesterday am I put DD on her potty cause I heard her trying to poop. She finished pooping in her chair and got up and I thought she was finished. I went to take her diaper to the pail and when I came back she had pooped more on the bathroom rug. I just thought, maybe we're not ready for the potty just yet.... she's only 14 mths. How old is your DC?

ha ha. not funny but funny at the same time. DS has been doing this (well 3 times within a month so far). the other day he'd walked off down the hallway and came back and handed dh something in his hand. it was his POOP..then he tried to touch things. My husband was disgusted..ROFL. I was outside the whole time. ha ahhahaha mine is 15M

Re: potty accidents

I had to leave the room because it made me laugh/gag from the smell. He's a stinky pooper. He's 21 months. We've never gone sans diaper this early in the morning. If I had been paying attention to the time I could have had him on the potty. He's VERY regular. But silly mama was distracted by the computer.

*After he sat back down on the potty to pee again, he stood up and clapped so I know the positive reinforcement is helping. Tomorrow we'll get the poo in the potty not on the floor.

Resolve carpet powder is THE BEST for getting stains out of carpet (I have 2 cats and a toddler). You just sprinkle it on, scrub it in w/ the brush provided, let it dry and vaccum it up!

I can't comment right now or I might bash in the monitor Obviously I'm having "issues" with my 3yo and the potty.

I can't help but chuckle. DD is two and although totally potty trained for pee, she poops occasionally in her underwear. Even in wal-mart.

She's getting there and it's only been a few weeks-all I can say is buy him some underwear to keep on him when he isn't in a diaper!

Re: potty accidents

ha ha! My ds likes to pee standing up so one day he said he wanted to poop standing up- I explained what a mess that would be and sat him down. We repeated this scene every now and then for a few days until once when he was peeing he just suddenly pooped while standing there. As soon as he did it you could see that he realized what a mistake that was! He was whining and calling me like eeeeeuw- get me out of here- this is gross! It was so funny. He never did that again.

My day care provider has potty trained countless numbers of kids in her 13 years in the biz and she suggested training them sitting down whether boy or girl because you never know when you will catch a poo and that is half the battle. DS never had an issue with pooing on the potty so either her method works or we were just lucky!
