Re: Tips for Helping Baby Drop?!?!
Exercise, walking, sex, walking, walking...
I tried to walk alot near the end, even it was just pushing a grocery shop around target for 2 hours... with my swollen ankles and all. hang in there....

Re: Tips for Helping Baby Drop?!?!
I would seriously wait it out if you can. What if you went ahead with the induction and ended up with a c-section that could've been prevented. KWIM?

Re: Tips for Helping Baby Drop?!?!
Walking is the only thing I've heard of that might help. All babies drop at different times. DD#1 I dropped weeks ahead of time, this baby I dropped a few weeks ago as well.
I'd tell the OB to get bent about doing a section right away. Unless your blood pressure is a really serious issue of course. My BP was high yesterday and sort of concerned my midwife, but a section was never discussed. Only setting up an induction because I'm already past due.

Re: Tips for Helping Baby Drop?!?!
You can try a trip to the chiropractor too.
Honestly, you do not have to consent to either induction or a c-section. So if you really don't want to do it, don't let the doc bully you into it.

Even if they are upset you refused, what are they gonna do when you walk in with a baby almost ready to fall out. I can give you a website that will tell you how to check your own cervix so you can be sure something is moving along. If you are already thinking he is worried about his convenience I wouldn't let him induce you.

Re: Tips for Helping Baby Drop?!?!
I've been seen by a chiropractor all the way along. She really thinks I'll be able to deliver naturally, just given time. Thanks!
I'd love the website too.. I can get Dh to check for me! (I certainly can't reach! lol) I'll give it all a shot & definitely not allow him to push me into it! Thanks!!

Re: Tips for Helping Baby Drop?!?!
babies are not alte until 43 weeks. so a 42week6day baby is still NOT post dates.
normal human gestation is 37-43 weeks. if i were you i would run FAR from that OB and straight into the arms of the nearest MW. seriously you have TONS of time mama. breathe. relax your baby will come when you are both ready. (says the uncomfortable and impatient 39w5day pregnant lady thats begging her fetus to JUST COME OUT!)

Re: Tips for Helping Baby Drop?!?!
LOL Thanks!
Baby still hasn't arrived, but I am definitely not too impressed with the idea of early induction. I think I'll be standing up to the OB & telling him well wait a little longer! GL with your L&D too!
