So if a snap doesn't "snap"...

you know, if it doesn't make a nice solid snap sound and just seems to go into its other part very softly, is it a bad snap? Was it put in badly? Is it from a bad snap manufacturer? Or is that just the way some snaps are? I really like to feel/hear mine snap, but is it necessary? Am I making any sense?

I know what you mean. I like mine to "snap" too. I think if they are not pressed on well enough that will happen. I have had that happen a few times and repressed them and then they were fine.

I have some used wonderoos that don't make a solid snap, but they work fine, and I've never had them come undone. I was wondering if the snaps were faulty.

same with my swaddlebees. they don't make a noise, but they are harder to pull apart than my FB's snaps, and they make all kinds of noise. it might not be a bad thing, but it is sorta hard to make sure they're actually snapped and you didn't miss until you let go.

If all the other snaps on the diaper snap and one doesn't, and it comes apart more easily, then it was probably put on wrong. Otherwise, if they are difficult to apply or they don't stay together they may be put on wrong.

Sometimes the snap press isn't pressed down hard enough causing it to have less of a grip in the snap.
