Re: Ideas for an almost 3 year old??

We use Before Five in a Row and Preschool Activities in a Bag. I think they're both great books for that age.

I got the ABC Home Preschool Curriculum (I got all ages 2-6 + 2 activity books) We are starting Sept. 1st ... it looks so much fun and I really think my son will enjoy it!

Re: Ideas for an almost 3 year old??

I just met with a couple moms yesterday, and we had our kids play while we chatted. We'll be cooping the whole preschool/kindergarten experience. We'll rotate from house to house each week and mostly it'll be play but there will be a story and a small project to do. That way ds has kids who he can play with who don't go to school like his other friends. I said we were going to go talk about school with people and he said he didn't want me to leave - no honey, mommy goes to school WITH you. He liked that.

I found these women in a roundabout way. I asked at my local library about homeschoolers coming in and she said they had a bunch. I left my name and number and the children's librarian handed that on to a hs'ing mom who called me. She gave me an invite to a local Yahoo HS'ing loop and someone on there posted about hs'ing preschool kids together.

I know this isn't for everyone but it only takes minutes a day and really was amazing for us and our kids love/d it.
