Inserts?
Do you only use one insert in a diaper at a time during the day? I remember a lot of you saying you use 1 hemp and 1 micro terry at night.
Big question!!! Are inserts usually a standard size or do I need to buy specific inserts for each maker of diaper I purchase? Just trying to get this all down!! Thanks for your help!

Re: Inserts?
I think it's best to buy insert made for that brand, but some diapers like Fuzzi Bunz you can use lots of inserts
My favorite is Ducky Buns and I use one of those for daytime. I tihnk it just depends on the insert. I would use 2 Joey Bunz for daytime and 3 for Night.

Re: Inserts?
You can use as many inserts as you need absorbancy. During the day, I usually use one microfiber insert or a microfiber towel on top of a hemp insert (I like Joey Bunz).
Most inserts will fit in most pockets. There are exceptions. Swaddlebees are very narrow, so their inserts work bes with them. Happy Heiny Inserts are pretty wide, so they will work fine in wider crotch pockets, like HHs, FBs or Fuzzi Fannies, but not in narrow ones like GADs or Swaddlebees. If you have specific questions about an insert type or pocket type, please ask! I feel like I have tried them all!

Re: Inserts?
HAHA! One insert?
Some babies can do with just one, but ours wets so much that would last her a half hour. So the pp who said it depends on the baby is accurate. We use hemp with microfiber during the day. There are many inserts that are made to fit a variety of diapers. You really have to try a few and find what works best for you. Cotton Babies micro are very popular, but we find that those are the last ones we reach for. You can usually find many kinds of inserts fsot and try at a discount before you convert your whole stash.Ang

Re: Inserts?
I second Ang's statement; it's hard to find 'the' right insert, though it seems fairly popular to have the combo of a microfiber towel + hemp, microfiber insert like Cottonbabies (CB) or Mother of Eden (MOE) + hemp, or just either MF or hemp alone.
That being said, for us (DS) a MF insert alone only holds up to maybe 1hr, so most of the time I do MF + hemp. For night time use I can only rave about Sherri's (Leobaby04) night time inserts, super thick and super absorbant! Works 10 hrs+ for us overnight!
