Full Moon and Labor???

My husband wants this so much to be true - I'll be 39 weeks Friday, and his birthday and the full moon is Sunday the 29th. He REALLY wants this bebe for his gift!

I have heard storms/pressure drops too. Dh is a healthcare worker, and full moons do bring out the crazies even in his clinical mind.

I've always had my cycle or labors within a day or so of the full moon - before or after.

Yep, the 29th... I'm waiting very patiently for it. I'll be almost 39 weeks at that point, so maybe, just maybe....

it has something to do with the pull of the moon on the earth, gravitational pull. all i know is that ALL three of mine were born either a day or two BEFORE the full moon or a day or two afterwards. and i went into labor on my own with them, 2-3 weeks BEFORE i was due.

so personally, i swear by the full moon LOL


i just looked them up, for kicks.

#1- went into labor and born on aug. 5, due aug. 28th- full moon was aug. 4th.
#2- went into labor and born on april 14th, due april 28th- full moon was april 16th.
#3- went into labor on march 27th, delivered on the 28th. due april 13th- full moon was march 25th.

this time, i am due on the 13th of sept. my GUT has been telling me aug. 22nd to sept. 5th, between there would be when i'd deliver. the full moon is DUE on aug. 28th. SOOOOO, we'll see if it happens again LOL

I am due Sept 10 and am hoping for the first week of sep. My mom's bday is the 1st and mine is the 2nd. I think the full moon is in the last week of aug.

My pg buddy group discussed this when I was expecting DS, and one of the other moms had a daughter who did a research project on it for school, and apparently more babies come on new moons than full moons. But I buy into the barometric pressure thing.

My DS wound up almost 4 weeks early and right in the middle between the new moon and full moon.

I dont think its true. If it were, there would be the same thing going on during a new moon, too. The change happens for both...so...yeah...
