Yes. I donate to a milk bank now, but I think it would make it more personal to donate to someone you know.

I would if I had the supply but as it is there is a wonderful Mama on here that is donating BM for my DD. I nurse as much as I can and supplement with her milk. I am so grateful to her for doing this for us.

Im VERY appreciative, the gift they're giving is priceless! I wish I had $ to have more shipped in. My goal was to get DD to at least one year and we're falling short by 6 weeks.

I donate to a local adoptive family too. I consider it a medical reason because I think all babies *should* get breastmilk. I know they had some milk shipped in too because what I make isn't enough. I think they said it was like $175 for several hundred oz's. I'm probably wrong though. I think contacting your local LLL is a great idea though, maybe they will know of someone who donates.

In your case, yes. I almost consider this a medical reason. I mean, if you can't produce the milk, then you just can't. I wouldn't donate to someone who just didn't want to go to the time, or thought it was too difficult. That is what I consider NOT a medical reason.

I totally would. Unfortunately, I have issues pumping. Maybe b/c I don't have the right pump but anyhow we managed just fine so far without pumping...of course now she won't take a bottle at all.

But I think BM is very important and would love to help someone that was so thoughtful of their child to look into donors rather than just assuming formula is the only choice.
