Re: Are your child's ears pierced?

Yup. I got Alex’s ears pierced at 3mn. Because the twins where preemies we waited till they where 6mn.
When Alex was 4yo she asked to get hers pierced. LOL I had to take her in the bathroom and show her, her ears to prove they already where and that was the ‘pretties’ I put in her ears! LOL Then she started asking for her nose pierced! DH said no to that but if she still really wants it done, when she turns 13 I’ll take her.
Aeryn and Ashe LOVE their ear rings! They ask me to change them every so often and show everyone when I do. They’re almost 3yo. We had so many fall out now that we’re down to just 1 pair each again. I only buy 14k gold safety backed or hinged continues hoops for them. They still wind up getting caught on clothes or loosening up and falling out. They do best with the hoops cause they can’t catch on clothes and if they do pop open they usually dangle there and the girls coming running to me to fix them.

Not until she's old enough to take care of them herself, so maybe somewhere around 10.

We're waiting till dd is at least 13. However at this point she's 8 and has no interest in it what-so-ever.

Re: Are your child's ears pierced?

My dd got her ears pierced for her 6th birthday. All the girls in her girl scout troop had pierced ears so she wanted them. We delayed for about 7 months before we finally gave in.

I had Emma's done at 4 months, in the doctors office. I would personally never get them done anywhere else. She had shots that day and was already in a grumpy mood so I figured no better time than that. Also it is sort of a cultural thing in my family.

Re: Are your child's ears pierced?

I've been wondering about this. My almost three year old is the epitomy of a girly girl. It's insane. Didn't know a child this age could be so girly. She wants them done, I'm trying to make clear to her that it hurts and stuff. Maybe when she's three or four if she's still asking which knowing her, she will be.
I don't mind taking care of her ears for her. i take care of everything else for her, it's really not a big deal.
