Re: circumcision?

I don't think you have my option. I have one who is regrettably circ'd (DS1) and one who isn't circ'd (DS2). Any future sons would not be circ'd.

Re: circumcision?

It depends on where you live. In our area it's split about 50/50 - maybe more realistically 60/40 ish - as we have a high population of Hispanics. FWIW, all 3 of my sons have been circ'ed. We looked at all the information for and against and just felt it was right for our family. Do what's best for you. If you have one son circ'ed and would like to not circ any future sons, I think that's absolutely your choice. For me personally, I could go either way, although obviously leaning more toward circ w/ 3 DS's that have been. DH had to be circ'ed as an infant for medical reasons. I also required DH to go in with the boys.

FWIW in Canada and Europe this procedure is NOT routinely performed.

HTH.

Re: circumcision?

This is a topic of major personal preference, and opinion.

As adults there is NO reason why we can't respect that, right?

Personally I have 2 boys that are not circumcised. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I figure God must have put it there for a reason, and Adam wasn't made with a scalpel in hand.. so I'll leave it alone.

If they decide to do it when they get older then that it their decision, and I really wouldn't care 1 way or the other.. it is theirs. I personally didn't feel right making it for them.

I am just silly like that though.. I couldn't even have my daughters ears pierced as a baby. I didn't want to put her through that either.. When she is ready, and old enough to understand then she can choose.

It is just me, and my silly way of thinking..

I'm pg with my first boy - I didn't vote because he isn't born yet, but I don't plan on circ'ing.

Both my boys are intact, it's their penis and their choice.

Re: circumcision?

I didn't vote but I'm due with my first son in October and he will not be circumcised. It is unnecessary and DH isn't.
