Exclamation ASAP unbleached vs bleached prefolds?

Why do some prefer unbleached vs bleached? I need to know before the coop ends. Thanks

Unbleached are supposed to be a touch softer. That's the only kind I have, so I can't say from experience. I like the natural look of it. The difference is minimal though. So I'd go w/ what you like the looks of IMO.

It's softness versus longevity.

The bleached variety are a smidge more softer, but the unbleached style tends to last longer. Though most mama's I knew that used both types told me there wasn't a huge difference in either- depending on care.

i asked this before the last co-op and have since gotten my unbleached, they are alot softer than bleached AND indians are softer than chinese too.
the bleached ones i think wouldnt last as long since bleach weakens fibers..

I prefer unbleached. They are way softer. I've never had any problems with them not lasting as long as bleached pf's... I have both.

Re: ASAP unbleached vs bleached prefolds?

I just like the look of pure white better, so I usually go for bleached. I haven't noticed a big difference in softness between the two just because one is bleached and one is unbleached. I've had some super soft bleached prefolds and some super soft unbleached, and I've had some scratchy bleached and scratchy unbleached. My very softest prefolds ever though are some bleached ones I have.
