Re: S/O High chair?
Bumbo isn't terrible, if your little one doesn't mind sitting in it. Obviously you cannot go anywhere if it is on a chair and would have to be a flat seated chair - it is recommended not to use on elevated surface
We've done it when we've been away and it works. If you want something that is a more reasonable size for a high chair, I'd suggested looking at garage sales. Older styles (obviously not so old the safety standards were different!) werren't as huge. We have a older fisher price one and it isn't too bulky and our 6 month old can easily see out and reach the tray, almost to the edge.

Re: S/O High chair?
I also love the Fisher Price Space Saver. The only 2 things I don't love about it is the arm rests are too tall to slide under our table when used as a booster (I'm going to try somebody else's suggestion of putting it on an office chair, maybe that would lower it enough), so DD isn't quite as close to the table as I'd like, and I really wish the seat cover could just be thrown into the washer.

Re: S/O High chair?
I have one from IKEA. Love it. Cheap, easy to clean.

Re: S/O High chair?
I got this for my DD and I love it. It is so cute and fun. When I cook dinner I put her in it and she just plays forever. I also love that it is an actual high chair because when we have company one of our chairs does not have to be tied up. Abigail is 6 month old and she fits just great. I have a pic of her in it at 5 months old that I will show. The toy part comes off and there is a tray that you can put on and take off to put in the dishwasher.

Re: S/O High chair?
haven't read the other replies, but Viktor has a "high chair" that straps onto the chair. It can also be used as a booster for when he's bigger. It was around $40 and I love it!
