Me too! I may just have to hold on to that response for the obnoxious commenting type!
And as much as I would like to think that people are not going to comment in a negative way, I know of too many people who have adopted and get horrid comments. Sad sad sad.

BRAVO to you!!! If anyone asks you could just tell them he's adopted. It might just open their eyes to adoptive breastfeeding. )
P.S. I have a good friend who is white, nursing an adopted Mexican baby. She's gotten nothing but amazingly positive compliments.

How about the truth? If anyone were ballsy enough to say anything about it, I would just do my best to educate them on what I was doing and then just ignore them after that. No need to buy into their ignorance. I am a white mama, breastfeeding my white biological child and I still get stupid looks and comments, even from family. I just rattle off my stats and ignore them. For myself, proving to them that they are UNEDUCATED on the subject is more satisfying to me than any smart a$$ response I could give them.

Who knowns what you'll get, some good some you may rather not here. My advice would be God or whomever you pray to gave me these beautiful children to care and nurse for. I hope you wouldn't want to go against his wishes.... He loves us all.... Many years ago in the South Caucasian women had African women nurse their babies it was a status thing.... My grandmother nursed her niece because her sister in law's milk was slow to come in.

Re: Bi-racial breastfeeding

I've thought about something like: "What kind of mom would I be if I gave my bio kids this gift and not my adopted kids? They are one and the same to me."
This is really the response that would be from my heart. Especially considering that this new babe will have had a rough start. The orphanges sometimes even mix formulas with double the water because they don't have enough.
