I dont know if its the pockets or the inserts but something is just stinky! This morning when I got my dd up it was so bad it literally made me gag, and I am NOT sensitive.

Everything smells great when they come out of the dryer, its not until they are peed on that they stink horribly. And, its only my baby dd's diapers not my older dd's. I use only microfiber with some hemp doublers.

I notice it with a few in particular, my starbunz breathable fleece and my (only one) side snap swaddlebees.

What do you guys think it is and what can I do about it? Its really gross. I smelled my poor dd's diaper as soon as I opened her door this am!

Re: S-T-I-N-K!

I had this problem, it was the inserts! They are more than one layer sewn together and they are hard to get clean! I used cottonbabies that were three layers and they got SOO stinky!!! I switched to trifolds and my problem was fixed!!

I had the same problem with my inserts...I stripped them with a little dawn detergent (all my dipes) then I boiled the inserts for about 15 min then rerinsed and rinsed. Problem solved...I also quit using vinegar in the wash and also now only use a tiny tiny amount of tto. HTH

Re: S-T-I-N-K!

We had this problem.

1. Boiled all inserts 3 times for 15 minutes each
2. Soaked our pockets for 3 hours in water and baking soda
3. Bleached our microfiber
4. Stopped using vinager
5. Started using tea tree oil in the final rinse
6. Strip with Dawn every 5 washes

We've kept the stink at bay so far, we boiled about 6 weeks ago

I've had the inserts do this too. I put them on a hot prewash with tto and grapefruitseed extract. Then two extra rinse/extra long hot washes with no detergent. Should do the trick.
