How do you deal with poop?

Do you spray? (DH isn't wanting to put on a sprayer)
Do you just do a rinse first?

I'm not really wanting to swirl

DD's poops are sometimes firmer (would plop into the toilet), but alot of them are peanut butter poos.

I would rinse them all off on wash day outside into a bucket with a hose.. that seemed fine. Then I went ahead and got a sprayer.. and I LOVE IT.. now that I have one.. I would never go back . I think it is worth the money to get one.

Whatever doesn't fall off I will use some tp to wipe it off. Then I spray the diaper with bac out and put it in the pail.

If its chunks that wont fall off, I'll use a little TP or a flushable wipe. Otherwise, I hold the diaper by the 4 corners with the inner facing out & do a quick swish in the potty. ALmost everything comes off with just a couple swishes & maybe 1 flush Its not really that bad & I ONLY do that for the really sticky ones so maybe once or twice a week.

I bought a sprayer. It was totally worth the money and cost only a little more than a diaper would. Why isn't he wanting to put a sprayer oN? It would make things SO much easier. There is a sprayer out there with metal parts that isn't going anywhere as far as leaking goes.

Our plumbing is hard to get to. Small bathroom, and it has compression fittings, and the more you screw/unscrew them the greater the chance for problems. He isn't wanting any problems, since we just redid the plumbing.

I just rinse it off with the tub faucet (after dumping what will come off in the toilet). We have a shower head with a hose and an adjustable spray, so sometimes, if it's super squishy, I will use the shower sprayer.

Maybe I'm alone on this one but I use a little flat plastic spatula the kind used for spackling walls and just scrape it all off and flush I keep it next to the toilet

Re: How do you deal with poop?

Well...we live in a Mobile home so my hubby putting in a DIY sprayer was out b/c plumbing is different in Mobile homes. He can do it with the correct parts but hasn't done it yet. So if I had a diaper spray that would be the WTG IMO. BUT...when my 18 month old poo's I shake off the clumps in the toilet and then take the dipe out side to a good spray in the yard with the water hose and a high pressure sprayer. I don't even have any stains on my dipes.

May be the redneck way of doing it but it works great, no poo dipe sitting in the pail and no stains on my dipes!
