How do you deal with poop?

I shake off what I can and then wipe off what I can with tp! I have never had a problem! DH just shakes off. I try not to think of what he does! LOL

Hose! That must be fun though.

I can never just shake, my kids' poop was always too gooey and sticky.. blech!

Another thing you could do is just the old fashioned dip it in the toilet and flush it and hope for the best... minimal touching required... could even let it soak in there. I don't want to do a spatula because I'm afraid if the kids or the dog get ahold of it. Or the husband shrugging and putting it back in the ktichen drawer

However I will say that sometimes I just say the heck with it and put the diaper in the pail. I have stains though. It only works if you know there are no fruit/veggie skins in there.

Dump and use some TP if it's a bit more peanutbuttery. I also use fleece liners with my dipes so if the liner is already older and really messy, I just trash it Otherwise, if I just washed a load of dipes and no laundry needs to be washed soon, I fill the washer with cold water and let the poopy dipes soak.

I don't have much to add. I have a one swirl limit but I dont' have stains so it must work.

I honestly have to say that I don't think I'd use cloth if I didn't have a diaper sprayer!

Now, my EBF little one, that's a whole different story. I may never start this girl on solids because it's so nice to just throw everything in the wash and let it rinse itself!

Get a sprayer!!!! We didn't have one for ds, got one for dd, and I kept saying why on earth did we wait so long to spend the $30 on the sprayer! I had to swish at a friend's house the other day and I thought "thank goodness we have our sprayer at home!"

I did this too at our old house. The toilet was right next to the tub & at the shower end so the hose/shower head reached perfectly!!! And the shower head set only cost $13 I really need to get another one for this house, I miss my massage (not to mention it really sprayed diapers clean!!)

I'm the odd-woman out here, but we bought a sprayer and I did not love it. It always leaked a little (could have been the installer-DH!) but even when it didn't leak, it made a mess when we sprayed no matter what we tried. We eventually took it off and threw it away. For the smooshy poo, we either dunk/swirl or more often clean it off in the tub. We have a shower head with a hose that we use and it works fine. If the water splashes a bit at least it stays in the tub not all over the toilet or floor.
