Quick! Help! Clomid Question.

The dr. gave me a prescription for Clomid, which I am suppose to start today, Thursday. I haven't even picked it up from the pharmacy yet. However, I am wondering what time of the day is best to take it, morning or night?

Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Quick! Help! Clomid Question.

I agree with blessed_with_boys....take it right before bed with a nice big glass of water.
Depending on your mg dosage, the side effects can really pack a whallop. It's nice to sleep through the worst part of it and wake up refreshed the next morning. I always took mine at night and never had any problems other than a few occasional hot flashes during the day.

Also, another point to note about Clomid is that it can "dry" you up a little. Make sure you are keeping well hydrated or even try taking Robitussen Cough Syrup to help increase the amount of CM present, thus giving the little swimmers a better transportation system (lol).

Good luck to you!

Thanks. I was thinking night also. What type of Robitussin do I need to take? How much and when?

AGREED!!

In addition to the Robitussin (expectorant ONLY variety!!) also took Evening Primrose Oil capsules (from GNC) from day one of clomid through the day I O'd & had my IUI. The nurse practitioner doing the IUI repeatedly said I had "Beautiful cervical mucus!"

Good luck!!
