cloth nursing pads
What do people use? I currently have the Lana wool pads, and I'm soaking straight through them. Otherwise, I like them the best out of all that I've tried. They are soo comfortable and don't show through clothing. I'll save them for when my letdown isn't so strong. I tried the MOE ones last baby and didn't like them. I'm not interested in the Lilypadz. Do the Happy Heiny hemp ones mold to your curves well, or do they end up folding up (I'm relatively small - C to D cup while nursing)? Anyone tried the Swaddlebees ones? What about other Hyena or WAHM brands? TIA!

Re: cloth nursing pads
I made my own but I only had real leaking problems in the first 6 months or so of nursing. I have heard some women who really have leaking issues say that they use 2 layers of the Lana wool ones. HTH!
Oh, and maybe you could get a WAHM to make you a couple pair with PUL backing to see if that helps? |

Re: cloth nursing pads
Are you using the Lana Original/regular of the Lana Ekstra? The Ekstra is super strong/absorbent. Maybe try those now instead (assuming that's not what you are using now) and save the ones you have now for a little later, when you leak less?

Re: cloth nursing pads
i have the bravado nursing pads and while they aren't super absorbant i they are super comfy and as long as i remember to put some pressure on my nips when i feel a let down or cross my arms when in public i won't leak thru.
i wanted to get the lana ekstras, but haven't gotten a chance to order

Re: cloth nursing pads
I bought some on ebay - I think from alanajo - last year and love them. They are 4 layer flannel 4.5". I didn't like any of the disposables I tried, or the Avent (has polyester fill - no absorption), or the Lanosih (has stitching to make it cone shaped which wicks the milk through to the shirt) ones. I really need some more.

Re: cloth nursing pads
I really like my Ekstra but leak through them during let down at the moment (only in the 2nd week of bfing this LO though). For going out in public I LOVE the Mommy's Touch pads and they come in a several different sizes.

Re: cloth nursing pads
I know this thread is a little old, but wanted to reply in case someone else is looking for help on this. I had the same problem with my wool Lana pads- leaking through during letdown. I cut a piece of fleece and put that behind them and no more leaks! I want to sew the fleece to the pads, but not sure how that would work with wool? In any case, it blocks the milk from soaking through and the pads absorb a ton like this- I can go all night with a strong let down and no leaks. HTH!

Re: cloth nursing pads
I just bought 5 pairs of theses & am very happy with them:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=618201 They are too thin for night, but I have some 4 layer ones from another wahm for then.
