The Baby Dropped!!??

Ok, I think Miss Olivia decided to drop. *I think* I put on a pair of maternity jeans this morning that fit just fine 4 days ago and now I can not even button them. I have never had a significant drop so I'm not sure but that's the only conclusion I can come up with. I haven't had any weight gain to cause it and she does seem a lot lower. I guess I am just a little worried if she did since I am only 33 wks. I know a bunch of you also said you didn't have any significant drop until labor, like I usually do. But, if anyone did how early?

Also, I had alot of lower abdominal and back cramping last night and this a.m. Don't know if that means anything but just thought I would add it. You would think with being on #4 I would be a pro at this.

This baby dropped at 35 weeks. I never noticed it with my first but you can definitely tell with this one. the dr. confirmed it yesterday...the head is right there.

Re: The Baby Dropped!!??

I never wore any maternity pants with buttons (I started truly showing at 5/6 months), but my daughter dropped at 34 weeks. I thought I was either going into pre-term labour or I was going to die when it happened. I went into preterm labour and had PPROM at 35 weeks. They couldn't stop it, so my daughter was born with her cord wrapped around her neck twice and in respiratory distress and with an APGAR of 2. We spent a week in the hospital since she was in the ACN/NICU.

Everyone's different. You may drop at 33 weeks and deliver on your EDD.

That's what I was thinking too. I'm sure dropping probably has about as much to do with when you will have a baby as dialating. I have been dialated for an entire month before having my lo.

That happened to me before the baby dropped. *He* gained in size but I didn't gain weight. Now my weight is yo-yo-ing if you can believe that.

When he did drop it was unmistakable. Taught my son some colorful new phrases. Felt like he was trying to come out of my arse, for lack of a better description.

I think that's awesome! This baby dropped a bit at 36 wks. But last week, I was feeling some major pain down below. I thought my bladder was going to fall out. At our appt., Dr could feel the pressure of the baby when he was checkin my cervix.

I felt a little more of that same pain last night.
