help QUICK before a newbie ruins a wool cover!
Not me but someone I know.... little girl is one week old and has pooped on three covers (the prefolds didn't cover well enough - the mom now has a new fold to try)...
she does NOT have wool wash and I think she may not have lanolin, either (to relanolize after washing). WHAT TO DO? thanks ~

You can use a little bit of baby wash. I don't lanolize all the time, so she'll probably be ok.. though the hospital did give me a little sample of the gel stuff she could use if she got any of it...

I second using a bit of baby wash... although I've found it has a tendency to strip off more of the lanolin than regular wool wash. As for the lanolin, does she breastfeed? If so, I'm guessing she might have lansinoh... if not, you can get it at the local drug store. Mix the two together in a cup of hot water... add to tepid water, and you have the perfect wool wash!
