Foreskin: To Keep or Not to Keep

Yea, you like my funny title don't you! How many of you chose not to circumsize your sons? Just curious. I'd like to do a poll to just see. I think I've always been under the impression that nearly every male is cut. We left our son intact, because I just don't see the point. The only reason we would have done it is because we'd have been projecting our own fears onto him about acceptance and being like everyone else. I think there are more parents just leaving the foreskin intact, and I was just wondering if I am right! Thanks

Where's the poll? LOL. Obviously from my sig blinky I think circ is wrong, so of course both my 7 and 1 year olds are intact.

Nope...why cut off something with a purpose, causing pain and harm to a helpless newborn baby?? Definitely not.

Re: Foreskin: To Keep or Not to Keep

We cut both boys. The more I learn though the more I regret it. W/DS #1 I was so drugged & it was just one of the 20 things we signed ok to when we went in. W/DS#2 it was sort of just second nature... didn't even think about it.

DS#2 well his pepe looks just fine but DS#1 my poor boy has issues down there... I know it's from the circ. I should have known better! He'll likely have to get it fixed when he's older.

My son is intact. I think circumcision should be the child's choice (as long as there are no problems with his). It's not MY penis, why should I make such a drastic decision without basis? If my son had a medical reason to have it done, we would do it. Currently he does not, so we leave it alone. Same as we would do with his tonsils, appendix, or anything else.

My husband is cut, and at first had issues with my not wanting to circumcise our son. But once he was born, he never gave it a second thought. God gave us our son in perfect condition, I would never do anything to alter him unless I had a strong medical reason.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.
