I had my ob appointment today (first one due to lack of insurance and lay off's etc etc )

He's wanting me to go in every two weeks from here on out. I'm only 21 weeks !! That blew my mind . He also said i measured 24 weeks but that was just with his little tape measure so how accurate is that really ? I have an u/s in 2 weeks, and I'll find out more then.

Anyone else have appointments starting at 21 weeks going every two weeks ?

Wow Im high risk (previous 1 born at 34weeks) and I did not even go every 2 weeks at 21weeks..did your ob say why?

only when my first DD needed monitoring of her heart cndition, but even that was excessive. find out why!

I went every two weeks from 16 weeks but that's because I had triplets and they thought they were in a very high risk situation.

He said that because im 21 weeks now and mentioned something about it being a 6th c section . I will have to be sure to ask him for exact details at my next appointment , every two weeks seems sooooo excessive

I thouht it was totally obsessive too !! Its relaly going to drag things out !!!

I am not paying by the visit , its a package deal thing so maybe thats something to do with it to because i missed so many appointments that im paying for ? *shrug*

i'd say he wants you there ever 2 weeks because its your 6th c-section and you're measuring big (even though it could mean nothing) .. there could be risks involved with that sort of thing - i know lots of drs don't like you to have more then 3 or 4 c-sections because your risks increase with each one.. better safe than sorry!

I'd say he wants to monitor you carefully because you have had 5 c-sections and your uterus may start to thin out around your incision site or something. I know it's a PITA mama but you have a doctor who cares, so that is a good thing.

Thats how im viewing it now, its funny i complained that i wouldnt be able to find decent medical care and now i have a overprotective dr and want to complain about that LOL, i guess i should see it as a blessing and let it be a comfort
