Re: Earliest baby movement?

I'm a tad jealous to be honest. I"m 14 weeks and nothing yet. But I don't expect it for at least another month. I felt my first at 19 weeks and my second at 18 weeks.

Re: Earliest baby movement?

I love this post! I had posted several days ago wondering if anyone else felt movement at 13 weeks. I thought maybe I was odd. Funny, I am definately not the only one. With my fifth, I am feeling movement and I am 13 weeks. I honestly think I felt stuff a bit earlier. But who knows.

With each of them, I feel them around 14 weeks, a bit earlier with #4 and #5. It has to have something to do with body mechanics, as well as overall sensativity. I am a very sensative person. Sensative to taste, touch, SMELL etc. So it doesn't suprise me that I feel them early.

It must be hard to wait for the mamas who don't feel the little flutters until 16-18+ weeks! But that time before we feel movement really is an amazing time. Such a faith building time. We can't feel the baby, yet it is growing and developing, cradled inside. Wow. It's such a miracle!

I heard that too...in fact My first I felt her at around 12 weeks. My second DD's placenta was kind of on my front right side. I felt her kick around 15 weeks and then I felt a "tumble" I guess you could say, and then no more until around 20 weeks or so. She had nestled into the placenta and that muffled the kicks and movement until she was bigger.

Man I miss that!!!!

Re: Earliest baby movement?

I felt my first one around 14 weeks, which my doctor said was impossible because the baby would be too small to feel. With the next five babies, I felt them move around 10-12 weeks. I changed doctors by the way!! That guy was such a know it all idiot.

Re: Earliest baby movement?

I know I have felt my babies move at 13-14 weeks, regardless of what Drs. will acknowledge. I have learned to trust my gut instinct, and not what a Dr. says is "true" or "logical." A mama knows. That is something I wish every pregnant woman knew!

I have seen some mamas go through really tough times and even experience some terrible losses when they do not learn to trust their intuition. Intuition is a gift from God. I am so glad that I am learning to trust mine. Although, I will say, that I believe Drs can be a wonderful gift too! It's a balance really.
