Full of Surprises
![]() |
My fuzzi bunz are staining and I'm not sure what to do to prevent it. My wash routine is cold soak/prewash (with sun)...hot wash (with sun)...cold rinse...then I line dry them. Can you please share your fb washing routine with me. Any recommendations of what I could add to my routine to help with the stains? I was thinking maybe oxyclean??

Re: please share your fuzzi bunz wash routine
I used Sun, Baking soda, vin, and sometimes if I have a stain I make a paste with the oxy clean and put it on the stain then let it sit in the sun. try that it should help!

Re: please share your fuzzi bunz wash routine
Here's our routine...granted, we've only been doing this for 3 days...but lots of poop and no hint of a stain so far.
Prewash (4 min cycle) in cold with no detergent. Hot wash with All Free & Clear liquid (about 1/2 inch in bottom of cap) for full time (14 min) with the maximum amount of water my washer does. (Small load, XL water level). Throw in the Downy Ball filled to fill line with white vinegar. Cold Rinse x 2 (remember that Downy Ball? Vinegar comes into play in rinse) Hang dry on drying rack. |

Are you using fleece liners in your dipes? That is the only thing that I have found to stop staining.

Re: please share your fuzzi bunz wash routine
I notice my Fuzzi Bunz stain alot easier than my Wonderoos do! Today when I rinsing off his poopy diapers before I washed them I noticed that CHOCOLATE stains BAD!!!!! He got ahold of the girls Butterfinger and man did it stain his diaper horribly! For the most part I don't get stained diapers but I ALWAYS diaper spray them before I throw them in the washer and its blasts the poop right off and usually any staining as well.

![]() Also, I mostly soak the poo dipes as soon as DS soiled them. He usually only poos once a day and if it's not on the wash day, I just soak the dipe in a lil' bucket w/some Dawn detergent. Otherwise our wash routine is as follows: Cold soak w/squirt of Dawn, hot wash/cold rinse w/Sportwash, cold/cold wash/rinse.

Re: please share your fuzzi bunz wash routine
Here is our FB routine that we finally figured out to help with the staining!
Sometimes a quick cold wash/rinse with no detergent (only if still lots of poo on dipes). If not we skip right to the soak...Cold Soak in 1 scoop of Oxiclean Stainlifter powder 1 hr-overnight (depending on # of dipes and how many bad poo ones). Then the hot wash with 1/2 scoop of the oxiclean powder and then my detergent (Sport Wash or Allens Naturally whichever I have...I prefer the Allens but sometimes run out before new shipment arrives.) Then 1 cold wash and rinse no detergent, and then another cold rinse. Dryer dry on normal heat! This has worked for newborn (Breastfed) to toddler (real food) poo! HTH

Re: please share your fuzzi bunz wash routine
We don't really have an issues with staining...We do a cold soak, no detergent and then a hot wash (which includes a cold rinse) with Sam's brand powder detergent. Line dry. If there is any stains left after washing, usually they're gone by the time they're dry because they're getting sunned as well. If I'm too lazy to line dry them, the EBF poo stains come off after two or three cycles.
