I need Car Seat help, please

I have both boys in Britax Marathons. Noah is 4, 50#, and FF. Elliott is 17 months, about 25#, and RF.

I plan to buy an infant seat (likely the Graco SafeSeat) for the new babe.

Here's my question: Should I switch my oldest DS into another seat (that one that goes to 80 or 85#, can't remember the name, maybe a Regent?) and move the youngest into his Marathon when s/he reaches the weight limit on the infant seat?

Or what? I'm not really sure what my oldest will move into next, but he is a big kid, I expect he'll outgrow the Marathon height-wise before he outgrows the weight limit.

I would move your oldest into a Regent (80lb limit) when your new arrival is ready to move into a Marathon. This is a great site for carseat advice http://www.car-seat.org/ , but I think you already have a great plan.

if you get the safeseat i think that one goes up to 30lbs, so by the time your new LO is ready for the convertible, there may be another option for your older kiddos. but i agree, it sounds like you have a good plan already.

Just make sure of the expiration date on that Marathon your oldest is using. It might end up expiring before your littlest one grows out of it.
