Re: How to: Fixing the leg elastic on a FB

I just did the legs!

It was SO easy! Whoohoo!

I wish I knew how long a peice of elastic (1/4 inch) should be for a medium FB... anyone.. anyone?

FF's should be the same.. 'roos don't have casing.. I used to think they were easier than FBS.. not anyone! FBs rule!

Do you stitch the whole length of the elastic or just the ends? I'm so intimidated by elastic it's pathetic.

Sorry question here.
I wasn't sure by the wording, Are you sewing the new elastic straight onto the PUL or the fleece. And are you leaving the olde elastic in, like the PP asked? TY

I just stitch it at the ends to the fleece. If you wanted to cut in a little closer to the end of the casing, you could probably use a machine to stitch it all the way through the pul & fleece.. but I havent had any issues with this method, even with lots of use and washing.. I secure it several times before I close up the hole.. I did it this way so I didnt have any potential areas for wicking.

and yes, I leave it in.. because its sewn along the side before its turned and top stitched... I havent noticed any issues with leaving it in, it doesnt make it bulkier or anything
