is pepsid ok to take while pg, is it expensive?
the mylanta works but not for too long, maybe an hour or 2.I am constantly drinking icewater and eating ice to help my throat feel better.

Papaya enzymes help (you can get them in tablet form), and roasted chickpeas should also bring relief. Both have been helping me.#

Heartburn is terrible...hope it gets better soon!

Re: heartburn..UGH

My mw recommended Pepcid to me. My reflux was so bad I ended up with a cough from the acid ending up in my lungs at night. What I ate made NO difference, as it was the baby causing it.

It's not as bad as it was, now that I'm near the end (I hope!) but I see no need to suffer if you don't have to. And you don't have to.

Re: heartburn..UGH

I have been having heartburn constantly with this one!! Fortunately it's not too severe (as far as intensity), so Tums has worked for me. Funny, someone recommended to me a big tall glass of milk as a remedy for heartburn! My dr did say she could prescribe... and named off a whole list of things, but I wasn't really paying attention, since the Tums was working. But you should ask your doc at next visit, if the heartburn keeps up! Not fun, I know!
