I always carry my "right to breastfeed" card with me, although I haven't had to use it yet.

What states allow you to breastfeed in public? We just moved to NY so i don't want to 'get in trouble'!

Oh! I just found that the La Leche League website has all of the current state laws (by section number). You could just make your own card from the actual language of the law for your state. www.llli.org
