Re: Whats for dinner?

turkey burgers on the grill. I put the works on mine....lettuce, tomato, onion, red and green pepper, ranch dressing (i dont like ketchup, mustard or mayo so I season ranch dressing to fit my mood for my sandwich/burger spread) with a spicy fiesta blend from Tastefully Simple, a pickle on the side and corn on the cob. Watermelon for dessert for me and blueberry muffins for dh and dd1.

I am sorry that I haven't responded to this. I didn't know you had asked what Tator Tot casserole was. I haven't looked at this thread in a while. Anyways, here is the recipe. There are different versions in the $5/meal sticky at the top of the In the Kitchen.

Tator Tot Casserole

1 lb ground beef or ground turkey, browned
1 bag frozen mix vegetables or 1 canned drained mix vegetables
1 can cream of mushroom soup*
Tator tots

Mix the first 3 ingredients. Pour into a 8x8 pan. Pour tator tots over top and arrange in rows till the top is covered. Bake for 20-25 min @ 350degrees.

*I sometimes use Golden mushroom soup and it is yummy that way too.

It's a very easy and can be a cheap meal. I get my cream of mushroom from Sams so it's less than a dollar and the tator tots and mix vegies from Aldis and the hamburger from Sams too.

I made this for a supper for my guys while I was out of town over night and I just had a serving for myself as I got caught up on emails and such. Yummy and easy!

Funny thing: My ds call tator tots, teeter totters

Supper tonight my mom made meatloaf w/pepperjack cheese, corn bread and steamed mix vegies, very yummy!

Re: Whats for dinner?

A tomato cream sauce, jumbo shrimp, vermicelli concoction, garlic breadsticks, and side salad with balsamic vinegarette.

The tomato cream sauce is sauted garlic in butter, with 2 cans of tomatoes, an 8 oz container of ricotta, lots of dried basil, onion powder, and garlic powder, and some oregano.

Re: Whats for dinner?

We had homemade chicken noodle soup. We all have nasty colds here, so despite the hot temperatures, the soup was well received.

i slice one onion and lay it in the bottom of the crock pot. toss a pork roast on top and put 1/2 cup water in. salt and pepper the roast. let cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

When meat is done, drain excess fat. use two forks to pull apart the meat. Cover with your fav bbq sauce and enjoy!
