Re: Whats for dinner?

As long as the weather stays nice Fridays are DH's grill night. I still do the prep work but he mans the grill. Tonight is grilled turkey burgers (mine has chopped onion and red pepper in it) topped with American cheese, lettuce & tomatoes on whole wheat buns served with corn on the cob, garlic herb crackers/chips (store bought) and me and dd will be munching on pickles and raw carrots. Not sure if there will be dessert. We have some dark chocolate, 1 apple donut left (we'll either fight for it or share it, lol) also have some rainbow sherbet in the freezer. Man! I am getting really hungry now. Hurry up DH get home and get cookin'

Re: Whats for dinner?

Having a girl friend over for dinner so we are doing "make your own burritos" night. Just wheat tortillas, sour cream, black beans, shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, slices of avocado, and some corn and salsa. All out out bowls. Lulu is sick with a killer cold and cough so I'm not up to anything big with her hanging all over me and whining today.

Re: Whats for dinner?

mm make your own burritos sounds fun.

We are having squash sauteed in olive oil w/ onions, stewed tomatoes, and sugar snap peas over Quinoa spaghetti... (trying to cut down my wheat consumption, BUT hubby actually likes Quinoa pasta more than whole wheat!)

Re: Whats for dinner?

Tonight was clean out the fridge left over night. I love those nights so easy. DH and I had boneless chicken breast that I had seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder and dipped in whole wheat flour then cooked on the stove with a bit of olive oil served with cheesy broccoli and rice. We also had some leftover brushetta and yummy bakery bread. DD had the last piece of pizza we made yesterday. It had italian sausage, pepperoni and tomatoes on it. Dessert was store bought butter cookies, so not healthy but dh loves them. I try to stay away from that container

Tomorrow is meatball sandwiches with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. with sliced, seasoned and baked potatoes (my version of french fries just cut different and way healthier.) dipped in ketchup of course
