Question What do you think of the names Elliot and Ryanne for a girl?

I kind of like boys names or last names for girls and dh and I really like the name Ryan- it's our second son's middle name.
I got the idea of Elliot for a girl off the show Scrubs. We would probably call her Elli.
We'll either spell it Ryann or Ryanne.
I have a masculine first name and I have always liked it. It would continue a trend- my Mom's name is Carmen, my maternal grandmother's name is Lee as well. Also I thought it would kind of fit in to my boys household- if we were to ever be blessed with a girl.

I knew a girl names Ryanne--pronounced Ry-anne, two syllables. I think it's pretty. I don't like Ryan on a girl. I love the name Elliot, but for a boy. I'm one of those people that like girl names for girls and boy names for boys. I don't care for gender neutral names.

I have a dd named Ryan. After playing with the spellings and asking opinions, we decided the best way for us to spell it was the boy way, because it was always pointed out that with the 2 n's and the nne it would be pronounced Rye-Anne all the time. I'd rather just spell it the way people know it than differently, buts that's just me.

I like them - I too have a male first name, so I totally get the reasoning. Will set her apart a bit as well if she is the only one with it!

I LOVE both names. With that said, I don't think we'll end up using a name like that for our girl. We've always planned to, but the more I think about it the more I change my mind. I'm afraid I will end up with only ONE girl, and I'll have named her something like Tyler. Then I'll always wish I had used something SUPER girly and left the boys names, to my boys.

A friend of mine named her daughter Elliot, and a few months down the line changed it to Elizabeth. They've always called her Ellie, but my friend decided said the Elliot just didn't "fit".

Elliot I think of Scrubs and I love that show!! I think its kinda cute

Now for Rye-anne or ryan?? I think of my SIL who dh's sister name is Ryanne (pronounced RYE-Anne) ANd she is a total mess meth addict who drives me up the wall, so no i would never wish that name on my worst enemy
