I was wondering for moms who had m/c at 16/20 weeks?

I have a question, It might sound rather silly, but a friend and I were talking and she said she had a m/c at 17 weeks along. She said there was no pain involved but like a period, I had one when i was 3 months and It was painful to me. Not like giving birth but wasnt no pain. I was wondering about others?

I've had 3 miscarriages all at different gestations..but none as far along as 17 weeks...and they all were very painful. Ranging from regular menstrual cramps to fairly severe pain. I can't imagine a m/c without pain, specially being 17 weeks.

Well maybe that was how it happend but she said it was the size of a lemon? That it just came out in a cloth hardly reconisable and wasnt painful to her . I think she might be not telling the truth or maybe blessed in some way.

I had to go through labor & delivery at 20 weeks and delivered a still baby. Perhaps her baby stopped growing early but she actually miscarried late and I've read that the baby doubles in size from 16 to weeks.

at 17 weeks.. she would be able to see what sex the baby was.. it would LOOK LIKE A BABY>> NOT A LEMON!!! She might be thinking of the clot that came out.. bc I had some the size of soft balls!

I had a m/c at 20 weeks. My ds I think they told me, stopped growing at 19 weeks. I had contractions just as if I were giving birth. I was able to hold my ds after they cleaned he and I up. He was 7-9 inches long. I have the specifics but I keep everything related to that day in a 'keepsake' box that I do not like opening. Anyway he was perfectly formed....such tiny feet and tiny hands. Everything was just the way it would be on a newborn only on a much smaller scale.
