Re: Yeast Infection..HELP!
I totally hear you! I just went through this last week. I talked with my midwife and she said she recommends the 3 days of monistat cream (NOT suppository). I had an appointment with her the day after I used the 3rd day of treatment and it still felt a little itchy. She said sometimes you need to retreat with the 3 day to get a total of 6 days, but by the next day I was feeling much better!
GO TO THE STORE AND GET SOME RELIEF NOW! I posted a question on it before I was able to get ahold of my MD and lots of momma's posted their natural home remedies there...

Re: Yeast Infection..HELP!
outside only? My midwife said the cream inside was okay, but that the suppository wasn't... at least that's how I understood it. ... I didn't know you could get only cream for the outside. I ~used~ the internal cream stuff and no ill effects... baby is very active and last appointment was good... and the infection is gone!

Re: Yeast Infection..HELP!
I got yeast infections alot with my pregnancy. Mostly because of GD. They always happened when my blood sugar went high. I was alway told to use the 7 day treatment from over the counter cream. It always worked. There is one that is really cheap that is behind the rx counter that you don't need a precription for. It is only like 6.00. It's the one that insurance sometimes will pay for or not. But it is available to all people with out a prescription and it is creaper then the one you buy off of the shelf you just have to ask the people behind the counter for it.
Hope this helps!! |

Re: Yeast Infection..HELP!
I've been on antibiotics for over 3 weeks now and I make sure I eat a yogurt a day to keep away any ill effects. For a few days I could tell I was getting a yeast infection so I went to eating 3 yogurts a day for about 4 days and it went away. Hope you get/got some relief!

Re: Yeast Infection..HELP!
I am the yeast queen, especially when pregnant. You can go to the health food store or your local walmart and buy Tea Tree oil. Put some on your fingers and I think you get the rest. It's strong but it works, and safe for baby. You can also take a bath in it. Relaxing and relives the itching.
