Hung clothes out on the line today.
DH has a flat tire, so I'm going to look into buying a used one insted of new.
Putting money in my change jar!
Cooking food with what I have on hand this week.
Using homemade laundry detergent.
Not going anywhere!(save that gas!)

Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

OOOOOH I love these! Great idea earthmomma. I love you, have I mentioned that???? YOu are a thrifty goddess! By the way, didn't you make brownies from scratch recently? How'd they turn out??? Got a recipe??? And did you and dh come to terms about that housekeeping job yet?

-hung diapers on the line yesterday
-hung towels and clothing inside today
-took the toddler on a long walk/bike ride(she rode, I walked) this morning inside of giving in to her desire to go get a donut
-accepted my waitressing job today officially!!!!!!!
-got a shirt for work from my landlord instead of buying one
-did NOT waste the water to wash my dishes
-knit a few veggies for my mama's here on DS
-got a trade set up for my knitting with a DS mama who's going to trade me baby clothes
-a lady at my daughter's bus stop offered me maternity clothing and gn infant clothing and a bassinet!!!!!!
-used my 40% off coupon at ACMoore for yarn to kool-aid dye for knit fruits and veggies
- made two pairs of recycled sweater longies for the kids for winter
-used free zoo passes on Monday for a free activity
-neighbor gave me two GIANT organic zucchini from his garden so I'll cut those up and freeze for chili and zucchini bread and such.

Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

thanks! yep, i made homemade brownies and they came out tasty but flat i dunno why they came out flat. about the job...no ~sigh~ BUT did get a reply from the momma who wants me to watch her 2 little ones and hes ok w/that~then, of course, my email went down AGAIN!!! (arg) but I told her to email me at my new email so hopefully she will.

This wk:
~packed DH's lunch
~turned off things that weren't being used
~checked the local paper for freebies (none)
~made my WIC appt, finally!
~had leftovers night (didnt cook, we conserved food, woohoo!)
~studied my grocery list some more LOL
~drank kool-aid instead of pops
~listed something on craigslist (ok so its not saving $ but its making it if someone buys it lol)
~re-used my bath towels (hung them to dry after use) ive been doing that my whole life but it still counts! lol

Goals for tomorrow: hang some towels/diapers out to dry now that my back porch is clean, (dont have a clothesline yet) and taking DD for a walk instead of watching tv

My brownie recipe:
http://www.myhomecooking.net/brownie...nie-recipe.htm

I'm not sure what to do to make them less flat though

Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

~ hung regular laundry out
~ closed my small business checking account which charges me $3/month (now I'll just use my personal acct)
~ opened windows for overnight cooling (s'posed to be 95 again tomorrow)
~ closed one credit card account & reduced credit limits on two others (doesn't save me $$, but simplifies things!)

Re: For the week of September 4th-8th

Let's see...

~ worked the budget up and then revised it several times for the month...able to work it to pay off the rest of the cc and save some for an emergency fund

~ got cash out for envelopes and divvied them out

~ used homemade cleaners and laundry detergent

~ working on knitting items for a trade for things I need

~ all meals from home last two days

~ lights off during the day and tv most of the day

~ used cloth napkins for lunch and dinner

Tommorrow:
Take ds to the dentist in the next town over (an hour and 1/2 drive) and hope to not spend too much money with all those great stores Actually budgeted money for lunch and travel and to pay cash for the dentist. Will go to Sam's for cheaper dog food while there and plan to go to the grocery store there for sale items (much better prices even not on sale). Want to hit hobby lobby for 50% off of Christmas items...have $30 budgeted to spend. We are hosting a Christmas homes tour and I need more decorations.
