Re: Who 's on the home stretch?
I'm due on the 28th. I am so ready to be over with this also. So much pain and trouble with this one. lol But he is worth it. As for everything being ready, I'm still trying to get some newborn dipes. I have exactly one cover in newborn, two dipes on the way though, and tons of small dipes (lets hope for at least an eight pounder lol). I have the bags packed and we just decided on a name at 36 wks lol. I think I'm not gonna go until after my due date though, thats how my first was.

Re: Who 's on the home stretch?
Yep. Mentally, I'm done. But physically, I have a couple weeks to go. My "official" EDD is 9/20 but I've got my money on 9/28...the day after the full moon.
I just got back from my weekly appointment and got a faaaaaabulous internal exam (to verify that the babe is head-down) and I found out that I'm starting to efface. So yay! There's a light at the end of the tunnel. |

Re: Who 's on the home stretch?
I've got 3 1/2 weeks to go. I was having contractions last night and was getting hopeful, but no luck.
I do have my stash together, along with the crib up and the carseat ready to go, but that's it. I need to sort the baby clothes and wash the small ones, and a hospital bag would probably be a good idea. I alternate between just wanting to be done with the pregnancy and needing another couple months to get everything done in!

Re: Who 's on the home stretch?
We have 9 days, 7 hours, and 16 min. till our due date, LOL. I have it constantly ticking away on a countdown.
![]() ETA: I'm actually not expecting to have a baby in 9 days or less though...I never seem to go into labor on my own unfortunately. =(

Re: Who 's on the home stretch?
I guess I can post here... I have 4.5 weeks until due date... This is our first though so I have no idea what to expect as far as early/late etc...
I am ~so~ not ready...but I think it's mostly a mental thing... Off the top of my head, here's what i have left to do: Take birthing class (this weekend) My one (and only) shower is this weekend... so we still have a lot of "things" we need and we'll be going shopping after the shower if we don't get some of them. (ie: changing pad for changing table, sheets, mattress covers, car seat!, diaper bag etc...) We do have the bigger stuff though (minus car seat!)... Preregister at the hospital. Make meals for the freezer (maybe next weekend). Get everything in order at work so it's a smooth transition for the person covering for me... Pack hospital bag (list is made). Finish pregnancy scrapbook (it's SO close to being done!) I want to get maternity pics taken, but don't know who to go to so I'll probalby be doing some self timer pics! Hubby needs to build a part of the changing table still. I have most of the newborn stash - still waiting on one nb mutt from FSOT. I'm working on dying many of my prefolds... got 2 of the 4 colors done. Meet with HR rep to discuss maternity leave and disability. Paint a shelf to be hung in the nursery. Finish a wall hanging for the nursery. ...Is that enough? Sheesh...maybe I shouldn't have listed everything out! I'm getting uncomfortable, but I keep telling myself I DON'T Want this baby early... (totally selfish reason why ahead...) IF I go on or after my due date, AND if I can stay working right up until then... then when I take my 12 weeks of FMLA, it'll keep me out of work just until after new years and I'll be out of work for all the winter holidays! BUT... as I get more and more uncomfy, I'm more and more willing to say she can come early if she wants to!

so we'd rather not have baby come on her b-day - she's also quite full of herself, so we'd never hear the end of it!
), he was right last time so we'll see!

and baby Nora my Valentine's day
