I know this is going to be really silly, but my 2yr old wants to color and i dont have any printer paper or coloring book-- alternative?

Large phone books!

Old bills.

Paint with water on the porch, shaving cream on the mirror, chalk on the sidewalk (you can make your own if needed) Dry erase board,
You can also color on anything laminated and it wipes off, like placemates from walmart.

We reuse all our old bills and junk mail for coloring. Recently, I found two big boxes of files on the side of the road...all I really wanted was the file folders, but there was TONS of papers in there, so we saved almost all of them and DS colors on the blank sides.

We save all the paper that would otherwise go into recycling in a tub and that's DS's coloring paper. It gets either kept or recycled after he colors on it.
