appts every 2 wks starting at 28 weeks?

I had an appointment yesterday and I don't remember having to start appointments every two weeks this early on with my first three. When do you usually start two week appointments?

Things were okay yesterday. I finally started gaining more weight, which my CNM is happy about, but it was 11 lbs in four weeks. I'm measuring all right, and the baby was head down and really low. I have to wonder if that's a cause for concern, resulting in the frequent appointments. Well, that and the fact that I'm still having contractions every day, even with magnesium and trying to take it easy.

I also did my GD test and hopefully it will come back normal. Last time I failed the one hour test, but passed the three hour. I hate those tests!

I've known I was coming down with a cold for a couple days, but it hit me last night pretty hard. Stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing, headache, body aches, nausea, chills, etc. Does anyone know anything safe I can do for relief?

i am 27 weeks and haven't been for 2 weeks and am not going back for 4...(going out of town) and my mw said that was fine as long as i was gaining weight and feeling lots of movement. She said after that, i would come back at 35 weeks and then every week...so we aren't doing any 2 week incriments...now i am wondering if i should be...

My OBGYN starts 2 week app at 27/28 weeks, then once a week starting at 36 weeks.

I started going every 2 weeks once I hit 28 weeks. It's normal.

i had my 31 week 2 weeks ago and my 33 week tomorrow...my first 2 week appt...

Thanks for asking My OB said the same thing, we will start 2 weekers at 28 weeks and I was thinking REALLY? But I guess thats average. Oh well.

With my last one I started the two week ones at 32 weeks, and Im 28 weeks now too. I have my '28 week' appt next monday, so I guess I will see if its different this time too. I've also been having a lot of contractions and I think its because I dont drink enough water but that is definitely something I will be asking my ob on monday. I hope that I dont have to start my two week appts now, my dh recently switched jobs and our new insurance doesnt kick in until the first of october, and we are paying for all of our appts right now out of pocket.

I did but ds1 was born at 34weeks and I was considered high risk, I started weekly at 35weeks...but here I am at 38weeks this time and feel like baby is staying put

At 32 1/2 weeks we went from 4 to 3 weeks. Now I am 35 weeks and I have no idea, but figure 2 weeks then. No idea!
