Re: Am I overreacting?
10 minutes late ? Geez that could be because of clocks being a lil off for goodness sakes , or a stop light , I mean it's not like it would throw off every other app she had that day . I would call back up there and tell them you need to come in sooner then next week because of the problems you are having , kind of demand it in a nice way , then I would complain about it when you do go back in , not to the nurses but to the MW you see . That is just nonsense .

Re: Am I overreacting?
Yeah, I was def gonna mention it to Kim when I go next wens. I'm thinking if I still feel weak tomorrow I'm gonna call and try to get a hold of her or Pam.

Re: Am I overreacting?
If you have to take iron, try Fergon. It's ferrous gluconate rather than ferrous sulfate. MUCH easier on the system, at least for me.
And I just want to smack Susan and the receptionist for pulling that crap. Ten minutes isn't that much time and since your health was what caused the tardiness... Oy!

Re: Am I overreacting?
Not overeacting at all!!!! They wouldn't have gotten me out of the office without seeing me.
You need to talk to Kim and Pam about it! They may not want to stay in practice with someone who was being such a jerk my 2 midwifes would drop a third if they were acting like that.

Re: Am I overreacting?
Did you tell them you needed to be seen? This same thing happened to me, lightheaded, seeing spots... actually, it looked like fireworks... I blew it off because my BP is usually low. But, when I mentioned it to my doc, she scolded me for not being seen immediately!
Are you delivering at a birth center, or do these midwives deliver at a hospital? If it were me, when I was turned away from the office, I would have marched over to the hospital and forced the provider to see me at the L&D suite! Much more of a hassle for the provider than what you've described! It may be that the receptionist took it upon herself to turn you away... which is illegal if you showed up with a problem (and you did.) I would ensure to complain about how you were treated at your next appointment.

Re: Am I overreacting?
I am getting used to being dizzy all the time and getting weak. The spots have haven't showed back up. Just having some everyday contractions and feeling like crap. But overall I think I'm fine. Thanks for your concern.
The thing that just bugs me is that two weeks ago I could walk about 2 miles everyday and now I can't barely walk around my house without getting dizzy/weak. I just can't wait for this to be over, you know?
