C sections... and me in the 2ww .. BLAH..

Well you know there is nothing better to do in the 2WW than to bother you gals with my stuff...LOL... so if you feel like checking out a chart... Look at mine.. look at mine... and yeah .. those tests I oredered.. ARE NOT IN YET.. OMG.. I could choke someone.. I sure hope they come in on saturday .. they said shipped between 3-7 days..

ok .. my cousin / sil / aunt had sections recently .. and 2 out of the three pushed forever and the baby wouldnt fit through the bones..

I am just amazed.. bc here I am .. this small thing.. and I passed a 8pd + kid.. in 2 pushes.. and the dr. said that I can easily pass a 9 pd kid.. she said that I was built to have kids.lol.. so I was thinking.. I thought we all were... and how does she know what I can pass..>LOL... she tells me something about I have the perfect bones down there.. and my toning in my lower body is great ... anyway ..

just thought I would think out loud..

what allows some of us to pass these huge kids .. and some need a section ..

huh, i never thought about that.

my mom never had a c-section, but she had very tiny babies, i was 4lbs 7oz and my baby sister was 3lbs 12 oz :/

(this is why theres only two of us, and 14 years between us, she was terrified of having more tiny babies so she got fixed)

I was thinking about that too the other day, my cousin and my close friend both oushed for hours with nada and had CS. They are both bigger not small boned at all, I just wonder if its how they have woman labor on thier backs instead of walking, being on all fours etc...who knows. But I am smaller and Im getting a little freaked because I am going VBAC, hope he comes out ok

Re: C sections... and me in the 2ww .. BLAH..

I'm 5'10" & I pushed for 2 hours with my first and he was 7 pounds 12 ounces but had a Charlie Brown head.
It took me maybe 15 minutes of pushing to deliver my second- he was 7 pounds even but with a normal sized head.
My third put his arm out first and they had to section me- I could have pushed him out no problem- he was 7 pounds 8 ounces.
I'm hoping for a VBAC too!

My cousin isn't small and she has had 3 sections! Cut them out, slap a paper diaper on their butt and a bottle of formula in their mouth- I'm not one to judge though!

Re: C sections... and me in the 2ww .. BLAH..

My doctor was worried about me because my pubic bone is flat instead of nicely curved. My first was almost 9 pounds and he came out. I have a sister-in-law who was in labor awhile and never dialated.

So I don't know how it works.

Wish I knew. I'm pretty sure I could have pushed him out but since I never went into labor... I will never know.

With my ods, his head was at a bad angle. This time just never went past prelabor.

I don't think many birth professionals are knowledgeable about how to solve these sorts of issues since cesarean is so often resorted too.

Re: C sections... and me in the 2ww .. BLAH..

I hope you get your BFP!

Did anybody read the c/s articles in the Mothering issue this month? It is a really excellent issue. EVERYBODY should read it!

I had a c/s with my first due to breech presentation. I have had 2 successful VBACs, going on 3. I am tall, but very thin. My babies were all between 6 and 7lbs. I have 2 friends that are tiny--under 5' and under 100lbs--both had 8 1/2-9 1/2lb babies. The human body amazes me.

Re: C sections... and me in the 2ww .. BLAH..

i know, it's weird. i'm very petite and have a very small pelvis and i pushed out my 8 lb'er. granted, it wasn't EASY more like the hardest thing i've ever done in my whole life, but i did it. women's bodies are amazing.

ETA: that's a beautiful chart, good luck!
