I'll have to try those!

a little OT but have you ever tried putting ground flax seed in your muffins or other baked goods? It adds quite a bit of fiber and you can also use it to substitute for eggs if your out of them or prefer not to use eggs. Its pretty inexpensive too...i think i paid 1.60 for a biggish box of it...just thought i'd mention it! Flax seed has lots of healthy benefits to it as well! My PAT educator said she read online that it is supposed to be very good for women and girls especially regarding menstruation. With so many antibiotics in our meat and milk its supposed to counter-act that somehow and slows down the cycle so young girls dont get AF so early....just a little info in case your interested LOL

You don't even wanna KNOW how much stuff i throw out! Its horrible!! I'm bad about letting things sit too long....

i think the conversion for flax seed to eggs is 1T flax seed and 3 T water for 1 egg replacement. (it should say on the box) I add ground flax seed to muffin mixes, pancake mixes, applesauce, yogurt, cookies, cakes....its a good way to add fiber w/o picky kids noticeing LOL!

awesome!! although i don't think she needs the fiber right now shes been having some REALLY loose stools lately....i think shes teething it could def. benefit momma though (the flaxseed that is lol) I tried alot of fiber supplements after I had DD and ugh, never found one that worked...never thought to try flaxseed!

I've gotten alot better about freezing things before they expire but before, I was HORRIBLE! We tossed alot of food before I started saving $$ The dog gets the old food now so at least it gets put to use by somebody.

You can also use the flax seed mill in place of the oil/butter/fat in baked goods. It's three to one. So if it calls for a cup of oil you use 3 cups of flax seed. I did this in my bread I made today..it called for 2 T of oil and I used 6 of the flax seed...tasted good and healthier!

I've been wanting to try the muffins!!
