I don't know what size PF's to buy! HELP!!

Please please help me! I want to buy some PF's and covers right now and get on with cloth diapering but I have no idea what size to get!! I don't know where to look either. At first I was thinking to just go with premiums but maybe they will just be too big, but I don't necessarily want to buy infant now and then premium next month, should I just wait until he is 15lbs?

Here is my sons measurments:
he's almost 4 months old
13lbs 11oz
15" waist (snug)
9" thigh (snug)
12" rise (not so snugly since I didn't want to mash his goods.)

Can anyone help me figure out what size to get or point me in the direction for some good info???
Whats the worst thing that could happen if they are a bit big for a while?

I honestly don't know according to your measurements, but I'll tell you this...when dd was 4 mos (she's tall and skinny) I wanted to try out pfs so I thought- I'll get premiums because they'll last so long, etc. DUMB MOVE! I have had premiums for 4 mos and barely used them. In the coop I got some infant sized ones because I am pg and I thought I could justify it. They fit 9 month old dd LIKE A DREAM! Now pfs are my fav diaper- I've been missing out on it for over 4 most just because I bought the WRONG SIZE! Moral of the story- I'd go with regulars or infants- not premiums...

Re: I don't know what size PF's to buy! HELP!!

My daughter is long and lean and right now about 16 pounds. I bought 12 Regular and 12 Infant IUB prefolds. The infants still fit her, but may not for long and the regulars are just fine, a little long but I just fold down in the back and in the front if I need to.

I would go with infants. They fit well for a while. Premiums will be too big. Pfs are cheap and you can use the infants as doublers/inserts later.

Ok, so what size are the regulars, are they same as infant or what?? I am totally confused...

I am trying to see about buying some PF's from another mama on here and she has infant and premium and she's the one who made me think premiums might be too big...

PF's get folded into 3rds right? and do you fold them along the longest side or shorter side?

I use infants fine on my roughly 12# 6 week old chunker. Premiums are what I use on my 27# toddler.

My DS is 16 lbs 10oz and still fits into infants...though probably not for that much longer. We're using short premiums for night time and naps right now...he's 6mo old. Regular premiums work too with Ooey's super nifty fold(it's stickied at the top). =) Infants fit really well into BSWW...you could even lay them in without pinning/snappi'ing if you want.
The worst thing that would happen if they're too big is they'd be bulky...covers might not fit right.
Nickisdiapers.com and greenmountaindiapers.com are where I've gotten mine. There are a lot of other good places though.
