This is what I use, too! I put in a squirt of Dawn with the prewash, along with a double helping of the home made. Then wash/rinse as normal.

Re: Fels_Naptha Soap + CDing

I use the homemade laundry detergant on my regular clothes, but not for CDs or anything for DD to be honest.

The first time I made the detergent my MIL called in the middle. When I told her what I was doing she had a fit. She said that Fells Naptha was really harsh and not to use it for the baby. Now I hate to say that she's right, but DD broke out in a rash the first time she wore anything washed in my homemade soap. And I hadn't even washed a load of her clothes, something of hers just got mixed in with the rest.

But we use it for the rest of us. Love it!!

Re: Fels_Naptha Soap + CDing

I made a double batch double dosed, and while we didn't use it on our cloth we did on our clothes. I won't make it again just because I like having scents (other than those that eo's can provide) on my clothes. Maybe it's a mind thing, but I just can't give up the way Tide or Gain makes my clothes smell - but that's just me

that's the same mixture I made too

We don't actually use SOAP on our diapers. For the past few months I have been using baking soda with 5-6 drops tto and a couple drops of lavender eo..it works GREAT!!! better than anything else I've tried!
